1. There are several kinds of ductile iron manhole covers, some of which are hinged, some of which are not. You can use an iron rod (or a larger screwdriver) that can be extended into the manhole cover to “don’t” it, and then lift it up. When there is a gap between the cover and the edge of the cover, you can insert something to cushion it. When you can reach out, you can lift it up and open it.

2. The iron hook extends from the handle hole of the ductile iron well cover, hooks the bottom of the well cover and lifts it hard. If it can’t be opened, use a crowbar to pry it. If it can’t be opened, buy a cover opening tool.

3. There are two holes in the ductile iron well cover. Insert the crowbar (iron bar and steel bar can be used). When prying, it should be tilted. After prying a little, it should be moved.

Warm tips: as the ductile iron well cover is very heavy, you must pay attention to safety during operation. What’s more, if we don’t have to, we should not open it privately and steal it. This is wrong.

If it is necessary to open the well cover, it must have the permission of relevant departments and the guidance of experienced people on site.
